The Luster Leaf 1820 Rapitest Soil Moisture Meter is extremely easy to use, simply insert the meter probe into the soil by testing the soil’s moisture. The display clearly reads a 1 to 10 scale system that that will indicate if the plant needs water immediately, needs water soon, has perfect moisture or has been over-watered. This gives you invaluable aid for maintaining the correct moisture levels for healthy plant growth.
For proper use, push the probe down in the soil to about two thirds of the depth of the container and about halfway between the edge of the pot and the stem of the plant. Avoid pushing the probe near the stem as much as possible. It comes with a guide on the watering needs for a large variety of plant life. Best of all, you won’t have to check the top of the soil with your finger, assuming the plant or lawns needs more moisture and killing it with over-watering!
