265W Garmin GPS Bluetooth Navigator Features Color Touchscreen
One of the newest GPS units from Garmin, the nuvi 265WT, has built upon the successes of its predecessors and made everyone’s driving experience simpler and safer. This Garmin GPS Bluetooth Navigator combines the features of previous 200 model GPS units with a larger screen and newer options to make traveling from point A to point B a breeze. The 265WT features a large 4.3 inch screen that shows drivers 70% more of the road around them. Garmin’s 265WT features faster satellite locks, more on-screen information, and even a new photo navigation feature that uses images to assist in navigation.
The unit comes standard with a mount and rechargeable lithium-ion battery for easy charging on the go. The 265WT makes navigation easier for the visually challenged by using Text-to-Speech technology to tell users “turn in 100 feet on Minnesota St” instead of “turn in 100 feet.” Perhaps the two most exciting features of the new 265WT are real time traffic updates and Bluetooth connectivity. The new model allows users to connect to their Garmin with any Bluetooth capable phone, making driving safer by allowing users to put their phones down and drive.
By linking their Bluetooth to their GPS, users can dial out, receive calls, and even search through their contacts on the large 4.3 inch screen. For the perpetually late, the 265WT offers free traffic updates along a programmed route to help avoid delays.
Bright 4.3-inch diagonal color touchscreen with a resolution 480 x 272 pixels. Supports Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free calling. Includes JPEG picture viewer and world travel clock with time zones. View map detail, driving directions, photos and more in bright, brilliant color. Touch the color screen to easily look up addresses and services.
Issues with the Garmin GPS Navigation System shutting down or freezing and having to be reset. Some mentioned that the portable garmin gps unit keeps loosing satellite reception.
So What’s The Scoop?
Garmin 265WT Bluetooth GPS users love the ease of use and features offered by the new nuvi, though much like other models the standard map database on the unit leaves something to be desired.
